Squads Diving

DSA squads are the next step in the diving pathway. Progression from Learn 2 Dive is into Squad 5. From there, divers can progress their way up the Squad levels. 

The progression from each squad is evaluated at the end of each term. Taking into consideration competition scores, training intensity, attitude, coachability and levels of progression. If you would like to discuss this with our office, please call on 0400 746 466 or email us here.

Diving SA Squad Structure & Criteria

Our squads train across the entire week, from 2 - 7 sessions per week, depending on the squad level. There are various options to choose from with early morning and evening sessions being included in the timetable. All of these sessions incorporate dry land training as well as the dive pool. This enables divers to develop the skills required for the more complex dives they will begin to learn. The competitions they can compete in can be withing South Australia but also interstate. We also run a week long training camp to Mildura for all our squad level members in January each year prior to the annual Rip N Tear diving competition. This is at the Mildura Waves centre in Mildura.

Squad Holidays

Diving SA Squads train based on an annual schedule, where holidays or training breaks are pre-determined. The Squad Coaching fees cover divers for 48 weeks in Squad 1 and 46 weeks in Squads 2 – 5 and spread over 52 weeks for payment purposes. The fee schedule includes squads training through the holidays (where applicable) and fees include all holiday training and local comps. The Squads holiday schedule is below.

Squad 1 Holiday Schedule

Training break post Junior Elite Nationals: October 6th to 12th
Christmas break: December 22nd to January 4th 2026

Squads 2-5 Holiday Schedule

April School Holidays: April 22nd to 29th
July School Holidays: July 13th to 20th
October School Holidays: September 28th to October 5th
Christmas break: December 22nd to January 4th 2026
