DSA Judging Course

Event information

Late registrations for this event are closed.

Diving South Australia is conducting a Judges Workshop to train/educate new judges on Saturday August 21st at SAALC. If you’ve ever attended a competition and wondered just how the heck those judges can decide on their scores ... Well, now you can find out!

This workshop is for members and non-members alike who are interested in becoming judges or simply wish to better understand the judging process and otherwise try to understand our sport a little better.

The course is open to all (parents, divers [14 yrs and up] and others) and will cover areas such as dive numbers, components of a dive, the judging scale and how to apply it, refereeing, diving rules, video judging and so on.

The workshop runs for approximately 5 hours and will conclude with sitting the Diving Australia Judging Exam for those who are interested. Your earned level accreditation will then allow you to start judging State competitions, and potentially earn the ability to judge National and International events.

Current SA-based Judges should attend to earn credits toward maintaining or advancing their present certification level.

The workshop will be held in the Dive AOE room (crèche) just off pool deck at SAALC, is free to all, and course materials will be supplied.

In order for us to prepare for the workshop could you please RSVP here.

We look forward to seeing you at the course!
