Diving SA Officials will be conducting the Primary and Secondary Schools Diving Championships. There will be no limit to the number of divers from each school allowed to compete, providing they are able to perform the required dives.

There are various groups               

• 10/11 Year olds (Born during 2007 & 2006)
• 12/13 Year olds (Born during 2005 & 2004)
• 14/15 Year olds (Born during 2003 & 2002)
• 16 -19 Year olds (Born during 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998)

Divers born in 2008 and later are NOT eligible

BOARD OPTIONS

Springboard:    There will be separate 1M and 3M competitions

Platform:         

• 10 -12 years use 5 metre only.

• 13 -14 year olds may choose to use 5 metre or 7.5 metre

• 15 & older may choose to use 5 metre or 7.5 metre or 10 metre

COMPETITION FORMAT

10/11years        springboard and platform

• 2 dives from 2 groups at 3.6 plus,
• 2 dives from different groups with no limit on degree of difficulty

12/13 years       springboard and platform

• 3 dives from 3 groups at 5.4 plus,
• 2 dives from different groups with no limit on degree of difficulty

14/15 years       springboard and platform

• 3 dives from 3 groups at 5.4 plus,
• 3 dives from different groups with no limit on degree of difficulty

16 -19 years      springboard and platform

• 4 dives from 3 groups at 7.6 plus,
• 3 dives from different groups with no limit on degree of difficulty

PRESENTATIONS OF DIVING MEDALS AND CERTIFICATES

In each group a gold medal will be presented for first place. A runner-up certificate will be presented for second place.
